I'm back! Yes, I was gone, but just for a little while.
You see, I had to take a leaf out of Christie's book this past month and step back from the computer. I've had some serious health issues - thankfully resolved now - and needed the rest to make sure I'd write to the best of my ability.
Good news? I'm back at it.
Bad news? The book is only out this month instead of last.
I have a tentative release date for the Double Cheese Burger Murder! You'll be able to get it on Amazon (Kindle Unlimited too) from the 15th of August. Yay! Check out the cover below.
I'm also going to be putting up the blurb and cover for Book 3 on site some time this week. I hope you're all doing great.
And lastly, I'll be posting a few recipes this week - choices for the backs of future books. I'm thinking:
- An over the top Double Cheese Burger
- A sweet pie - flavor to be decided
Boston Homicide Detective, Christie Watson, doesn’t want to get involved in any more investigations save one: the cold case of her mother’s murder. Still on sabbatical after an incident in the big city, she’s determined to spend this week at peace – surrounded by her friends, Curly Fries the cat, and loads of Double Cheese Burgers from Griselda’s Burger Bar.
But Sleepy Creek has other plans. When Christie and her best friend head over to the Terrible Twins Antique Store with antique salesman and Griselda’s cousin, Jerry Lee, the last thing Chris expects to encounter is another murder. That’s exactly what happens when an unsuspecting customer opens an antique box and receives a cyanide injection. Jerry Lee is suspect number one, but Christie believes there’s more to this than meets the eye.
If only the detective in charge, Liam Balle, would ease up and allow her to investigate a little. The more Detective Watson tries to avoid cases, the more she’s drawn in, and she’s starting to suspect there’s a pattern – could her mother’s murder be at the center of the discord in Sleepy Creek?
There’s only one way to find out. Christie Watson is on the case!
